Ingersoll is one of the oldest organizations by and for transgender and gender nonconforming communities in the United States. Officially formed in 1977, Ingersoll Gender Center has been building community, connecting folks to resources and advocating for our communities in the Puget Sound region for over four decades. Your support helps us continue to run the longest existing peer led trans support group, deepen our commitments to expanding access to gender affirming healthcare and interrupting economic injustices our communities face.
Due to COVID-19, we have adapted programming in response to Trans and Gender Diverse community needs during the crisis. In response, we have launched six different financial assistance programs for community members throughout Washington State, have collaborated with several different programs to provide meal and food assistance for community members in King County, and are running two weekly virtual programs – our Trans Peer Support Group (the longest running trans peer support group in the nation) and a COVID19 Trans and Gender Diverse Community Call.
